The Center for Immigrant Resources and Community Arts or CIRCA is a community arts organization founded in 2001 by a group of artists, educators, organizers, and activists from the Filipino American community. It is committed to the development and popularization of a community arts aesthetic adn pedagogy that speak of the immigrant experience within the changing multicultural landscape of America. CIRCA's core programs are committed to intiating various artistic-educational-organizing programs to link the youth, the community and the larger public in addressing important contemporary issues through creative and unthreatening ways.

Our Belief The arts as a powerful tool for self-discovery, self-expression, for reflecting the collective experiences, struggles and dreams of immigrant communities in America. Art is an intrinsic part of a community's life and is vital to its growth and continued existence.
Our Mission Promote artistic educational programs, information, and research towards a more dynamic sense of cultural and artistic practices and legacies within immigrant and ethnic communitites. We seek to provide alternate means for artists and practitioners of cultural arts and traditions to articulate their aesthetics and share their work with a larger audience. |
